Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dzhabrail Aslakhanov (ranked 3791 p4p, 2400 weight class) and Dakota Reis (ranked 413 p4p, 289 weight class). Reis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cree Prayer Song - Young Spirit. Dakota Reis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dakota Reis!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aslakhanov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reis manages to avoid it.
Reis throws a leg kick but Aslakhanov sees it coming and moves out of range.
Reis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aslakhanov.
Aslakhanov is looking to clinch.
Aslakhanov throws a shot from downtown. Reis moves away and avoids it.
Aslakhanov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A nice side step and Reis releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Reis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Aslakhanov momentarily.
Reis lands with an uppercut that bounces Aslakhanov off the cage and back into range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Reis.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aslakhanov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Reis appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Reis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
