Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Avon Barksdale X (ranked 1997 p4p, 3712 weight class) and Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Musashi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. tajiri theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Miyamoto Musashi enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miyamoto Musashi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Musashi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Musashi tries to clinch but Barksdale X moves out of range.
Barksdale X fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Musashi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice jab there from Barksdale X.
Musashi wants to clinch up but Barksdale X keeps it at a distance.
Barksdale X appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Barksdale X lands a two punch combo.
Barksdale X moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Barksdale X throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Musashi on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Miyamoto Musashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Musashi tries to clinch there but Barksdale X circles away.
Musashi fails in his attempt to clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barksdale X lands a big head kick that sends Musashi tumbling to the mat! Barksdale X takes a step backwards and waves Musashi back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Musashi is rocked!
Musashi closes the distance and clinches.
Musashi is still on wobbly legs! Can Barksdale X finish him?
Barksdale X scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Barksdale X breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barksdale X circles away from the clinch attempt
and Barksdale X counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Barksdale X closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Musashi! Barksdale X dives in looking to finish! Musashi is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Avon Barksdale X!
