PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Won Yong Jung (ranked 539 p4p, 1769 weight class) and Diogo Martins (ranked 48 p4p, 151 weight class). Martins has chosen Monte Tiene Garabato as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Jung as he checks the leg kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Jung misses the target.
Martins waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jung.

Martins tries to move into range but Jung moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jung throws a body shot but no joy.

Jung scores with the left hand. Martins knows he should have avoided that one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martins misses with a hook. Jung ducked under it nicely.
Martins's coach down at Gold Samurai's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Martins's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Diogo Martins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martins moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martins is pushing Jung's head away, looking to escape. Jung manages to hold on to the position though.

Jung cracks Martins with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Jung immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Martins is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Jung!
