Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenzo Kulmunki (ranked 194 p4p, 948 weight class) and Klaus Manfred (ranked 28 p4p, 123 weight class). Kenzo Kulmunki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kenzo Kulmunki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Klaus Manfred!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulmunki blocks a low kick nicely.
Kulmunki thuds his right hand into Manfred's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Klaus Manfred has been cut.
Manfred has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kulmunki smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Kulmunki tries to sprawl but Manfred drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kulmunki wants to get back to his feet.

Manfred is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kulmunki has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kulmunki is not content to let Manfred control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kulmunki pushes Manfred off looking to stand but Manfred dives back in and keeps control.

Kulmunki manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Manfred doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kulmunki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kulmunki is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Kulmunki throws a low kick but Manfred avoids it.
Manfred fails with a takedown attempt.
Kulmunki throws a series of punches but Manfred avoids them all with ease.
Kulmunki takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Manfred tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kulmunki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Manfred somewhat.
It looked like Kulmunki was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Manfred.
Kenzo Kulmunki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klaus Manfred.
Manfred throws a one two combo.

Kulmunki throws a sloppy head kick

and Manfred counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kulmunki!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kulmunki bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kulmunki scores with a sloppy right hand. Manfred should have avoided that one.
Kulmunki takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Manfred throws a hook but Kulmunki avoids it easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Kulmunki misses the target.
Kulmunki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Manfred fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Manfred drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kulmunki defends it well.
We've been told by Kulmunki's head coaches at FF Forever that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Manfred chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kulmunki can pounce on him.

Kulmunki walks into a left hand.
Manfred will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Manfred missing with a left hand there. Kulmunki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kulmunki appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Kulmunki takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Manfred throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A quick step to the side and Kulmunki tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Manfred throws a leg kick but Kulmunki moved away.
Manfred throws a looping overhand right but Kulmunki ducks down to avoid it.
Manfred fails to land the takedown.
Manfred fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Manfred misses with a low kick.
Kulmunki tried to counter with a leg kick but Manfred avoided it.
No luck for Manfred with that takedown attempt.
It looked like Kulmunki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Manfred throws a right and a left that Kulmunki avoids nicely.
Manfred tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kulmunki is able to avoid easily.
Kulmunki feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Manfred takes a swing at Kulmunki's ribcage but misses.

That has opened up Klaus Manfred's cut even more.

Klaus Manfred seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manfred scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kulmunki in his tracks.
Kulmunki looks to land a left hand but Manfred moved out of range nicely.

Manfred scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kulmunki defending well as Manfred loads up on a big left hand.
Kulmunki lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Manfred at a distance.

Kulmunki is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
No luck for Manfred with that takedown attempt.

Kulmunki throws a combination. Manfred tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Kulmunki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Manfred gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kulmunki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Manfred is still on wobbly legs! Can Kulmunki finish him?

The cut above Klaus Manfred's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kulmunki circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Manfred tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Kulmunki wins by KO!
