Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Jamal Hudak (ranked 2721 p4p, 3093 weight class) and Jerome Spong (ranked 315 p4p, 350 weight class). Spong is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: In Loving Memory. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamal Hudak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerome Spong!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Spong - just one landing.
Hudak bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hudak tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Spong manages to circle out of the way.
Spong tries to move into range but Hudak moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Spong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Spong misses with a looping right.
Spong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Hudak misses the target.
Hudak takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hudak scores with a nice right hand.
A head kick misses from Spong.
Spong misses with a hook.
Spong with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hudak to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Jerome Spong has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spong closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Spong on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hudak looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hudak walks into a straight right hand from Spong.
Hudak is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Spong tries to keep at a distance but Hudak has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hudak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spong connects with a right hand. Hudak shakes it off.
Oh Hudak is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Spong throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Hudak crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jerome Spong!
A very excited looking Jerome Spong rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
