Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Benny.
Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Benny.
Benny has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
D.C. Benny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A shot to the body from Jones misses
letting Benny counter with a right hand.
Benny's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jones under the eye.
Jones lands a jab to Benny's midsection.

Benny swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones.
Benny throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Benny fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.

It seemed like Benny was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Benny counters with a nice uppercut.

and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot.

Jones is looking for a counter combo.

and Benny takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Benny takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Jones rushes Benny and presses him up against the cage.

Benny has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jones uses from the top position.
Benny manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

Benny slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like D.C. Benny has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones closes the distance and pushes Benny back into the cage.
Benny swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Benny jumps guard but Jones stands there with Benny around his waist. Benny gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A nice left hand lands by Jones.

Benny tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Benny swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jones pushes Benny against the cage. Jones is working some dirty boxing. Jones pushes off with a quick right hook! Benny goes down! Benny tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Jones moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
