PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santino Cabal (ranked 1357 p4p, 1121 weight class) and Charles Luciano (ranked 167 p4p, 146 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charles Luciano!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal throws a head kick but Luciano moves out of range.

A head kick lands from Luciano that sends Cabal to the canvas. Cabal tries to scramble back to his feet but Luciano brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Santino Cabal has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Luciano has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Cabal!

Luciano is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cabal can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Luciano is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Cabal is defending well though. Luciano let's go of the attempt for now.

Cabal stalks Luciano and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Luciano's face. Luciano staggers backwards, shaken.

Cabal chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Luciano can pounce on him.
