PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Picogram (ranked 2061 p4p, 1711 weight class) and Gotan Wasselach (ranked 242 p4p, 206 weight class). Wasselach has chosen Time Is On My Side by Maze as his entrance music. Gotan Wasselach told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasselach scores with the left hand. Picogram knows he should have avoided that one.
Gotan Wasselach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Picogram lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wasselach has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wasselach and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

I was talking to Picogram's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wasselach changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Picogram fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jonny Picogram spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
