Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Temujin Namkhai (ranked 105 p4p, 389 weight class) and Artemis Rhodes (ranked 12 p4p, 31 weight class). Namkhai comes to the cage accompanied by Batzorig Vaanchig - Mongolian Throat Singing. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Namkhai.
Namkhai slips a jab from Rhodes.

and Namkhai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rhodes misses with a lunging right hand
and Namkhai counters with a nice body shot.
Rhodes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Namkhai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Namkhai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Rhodes throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Namkhai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Namkhai looks to land a right hand but Rhodes moved out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rhodes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Namkhai counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

A relieved looking Temujin Namkhai thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
