Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Stephen Steve (ranked 2843 p4p, 2858 weight class) and Jerome Spong (ranked 349 p4p, 336 weight class). Spong has chosen In Loving Memory as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Stephen Steve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerome Spong!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Steve misses.
Steve throws an overhand right that lands on Spong's shoulder, as Spong tries to avoid the shot.
Steve lands a body shot.
Steve has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Spong.
Spong throws an off balance right hand
and Steve counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jerome Spong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steve lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Spong at a distance.
Spong looks to land a left hand but Steve moved out of range nicely.
Steve looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Spong takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Steve takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Spong looks to throw the jab but Steve is out of range.
Spong tries a head kick but it misses.
Spong throws out a loose jab but Steve uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Spong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Steve uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

A looping hook to the body misses from Steve. Spong does a little dance to reset his feet.

Steve changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Steve takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Steve went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Spong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spong avoids the body shot from Steve.
Spong loads up on a big right hand but Steve slips the punch.
Steve throws a leg kick but Spong moved away.
Spong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steve.

and Steve connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Steve turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Spong tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Steve is able to avoid easily.
Spong throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Spong tries a head kick but it misses.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Steve. Spong shrugs it off though.
Steve scores with a shot to the body.
Spong misses with a double jab.
Steve avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Spong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Steve takes a swing at Spong's ribcage but misses.
Spong swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Steve - that will leave a mark!
Steve is looking to wear down Spong with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Spong misses with a hook
and Steve counters with a nice body shot.
Steve works Spong's body with a nice hook.
Spong looks to land a body kick but Steve moved away.
Steve throws a low kick, looking for Spong's leg but Spong calmly moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Spong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
As Spong looks to move away, Steve throws a big counter combo but Spong just gets out of the way.
Steve fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Steve thumps Spong with a low kick.
Steve takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Stephen Steve will probably get the nod.
That's time! Steve's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Steve takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Steve cracks Spong with a right hand to the side of the head.
Spong moves out of range of the body kick.
Steve throws a low kick but it's checked well by Spong.
Steve swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Spong counter with a right hand.
Spong goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Steve lands a right hook to the body.

Spong catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Steve stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Steve walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

Steve lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Spong avoids the body shot from Steve.
Spong sizes up Steve with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Steve is rocked!
Spong ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Steve out cold! The fight is over!
