Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Want to Conquer the World by Bad Religion. Wallace has chosen Who shot Ya? as his entrance music. Marcus Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Wallace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Wallace.
Wallace keeps the fight on the outside.
Wallace lands a body shot.
Jackson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wallace misses with a jab, cross combination.
Marcus Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss.

Wallace closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Wallace getting side control.

Wallace looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jackson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wallace throws a lazy right hand but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Wallace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.

Jackson sizes up Wallace with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Wallace wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Wallace wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.

Wallace is going olschool here, as he tries to force Jackson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jackson shrugs it off.

Wallace takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chris Wallace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Wallace counters with a three punch combo that has Jackson backing up. Jackson nods at Wallace to acknowledge the strikes.

Chris Wallace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Chris Wallace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wallace has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
