Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Salomon Mukunzi (ranked 70 p4p, 481 weight class) and Aleksandr Pushkin (ranked 10 p4p, 67 weight class). Mukunzi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Champion (ft. D Smoke) - Fireboy DML. Salomon Mukunzi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mukunzi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Pushkin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mukunzi.
Mukunzi misses the shot to the body.

Pushkin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pushkin shoots in but Mukunzi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

I was talking to Mukunzi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Pushkin is taking a breather. Mukunzi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
