Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimmo Kallio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Grey Ape!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ape throws an off balance right hand
and Kallio counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ape is looking to land body kicks.
Kallio chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ape can pounce on him.
We've been informed that Ape has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Jab, jab by Ape - just one landing.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ape.
Ape throws a jab when Kallio was well out of range.
Kallio throws a big counter combination but Ape scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Ape misses with a hook.
Kallio gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Kallio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kallio keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kallio seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Ape does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ape pushes Kallio away with a front kick.
Ape shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Ape bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kallio's head backwards.
Ape has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kallio.
Ape stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kallio.
Kallio just misses with a punch to the body.
Kallio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ape moves away.
Kallio goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ape loads up on a big right hand but Kallio slips the punch.
Ape swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ape throws a leg kick
and Kallio counters with a series of strikes. Ape will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ape thumps Kallio with a low kick.
Kallio throws a front kick that sends Ape stumbling back into the cage.
Kallio avoids the body shot from Ape.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ape scores with a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A left lands for Kallio.
No joy there for Ape, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kallio appears to be looking for a big counter.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kallio.
Kallio fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ape on the side of the head.
Ape misses with a hook.
Kallio throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Ape throws a low kick, looking for Kallio's leg but Kallio calmly moves out of range.
Kallio throws a body punch but Ape moves out of range.
Ape misses with a kick to the body.
Ape misses with a leg kick.
It looked like Kallio was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kimmo Kallio will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Kimmo Kallio's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ape throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kallio went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A clash of legs there as Kallio blocks the low kick.
Grey Ape seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ape ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kallio moves away.
Kallio is looking for a counter combo.
Ape has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kallio.
Kallio connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ape momentarily.
A low kick from Ape is predictable there
and Kallio counters with a left and a right that stings Ape.
Ape is rocked!
Ape avoids the head kick by Kallio.
Ape is still on wobbly legs! Can Kallio finish him?
Kallio knocks out Ape with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Kallio before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Kallio picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kimmo Kallio!
