These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Michele Rene Gaspard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dallas Flanders!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaspard throws a poor cross that misses
and Flanders connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gaspard lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gaspard tries to clinch but Flanders is having none of it.
Flanders steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Flanders takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gaspard throws a predictable looking body shot
and Flanders counters with a nice kick to the body.
Gaspard is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gaspard misses with a looping left.
Gaspard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gaspard wants to clinch up but Flanders keeps it at a distance.
Flanders now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Gaspard lands a head shot.
Flanders drops his hands momentarily and Gaspard takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gaspard fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gaspard misses with an uppercut
letting Flanders counter with a right hand.

Gaspard throws an off balance right hand
and Flanders cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gaspard is rocked!

Gaspard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Oh Gaspard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gaspard works on Flanders's body with a couple of short punches.

Flanders pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gaspard swings for the body but Flanders moves out of range.
Flanders moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gaspard seems to have got his legs back now.
Gaspard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gaspard bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Flanders's head.
Gaspard is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Gaspard gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gaspard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Flanders wants to break the clinch but can't.

Flanders pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A shot to the body from Gaspard misses

and Flanders counters with a nice right hand that sends Gaspard toppling to the canvas! Gaspard scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Flanders finish him?!

Gaspard has Flanders pressed against the cage, preventing Flanders from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Gaspard tries to pull guard but Flanders holds him up against the cage and eventually Gaspard drops back down to his feet.

Gaspard ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Gaspard keeps control of Flanders as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Flanders stands up from Gaspard's guard - Flanders perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gaspard tries to clinch but Flanders is having none of it.
Flanders swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Flanders blocks a jab.
Gaspard backing away here, and Flanders unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Flanders moves away from the strike by Gaspard.
Gaspard throws a lazy uppercut
and Flanders connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Flanders takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Flanders drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gaspard lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Flanders tries to keep at a distance but Gaspard has taken the fight into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gaspard.

Gaspard manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flanders has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gaspard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Gaspard throws a shot from downtown. Flanders moves away and avoids it.
And Flanders responds with a good body kick, but Gaspard manages to step out the way in time.
Gaspard is looking to clinch but Flanders is avoiding it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gaspard swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Flanders counters with a left right combination that sends Gaspard crashing to the mat - Flanders wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Gaspard out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
