The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greyson misses with a looping left.
Greyson scores with a jab. Lyle acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like Robbie Lyle has been cut.
Greyson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lyle tries to counter with a takedown but Greyson is quick to defend against it.
Lyle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Greyson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lyle somewhat.
Greyson tries to counter by closing the distance.

Greyson looks to land a left hand but Lyle moved out of range nicely.

Lyle shoots in but no luck this time.

Greyson wants to stand up but Lyle has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Greyson decides to return to a standing position.
Lyle keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Greyson throws a jab when Lyle was well out of range.
Lyle looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Greyson is fending him off so far but Lyle persists. Nope, Greyson circles away and we're back to standing.
Greyson tries to counter with a clinch but Lyle shakes him off and moves away.

Greyson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lyle is on him like a limpet, forcing Greyson back against the cage.

Lyle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Greyson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lyles head.

Robbie Lyle's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Lyle tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Greyson smiles and moves away.
Greyson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lyle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lyle tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Greyson defends well and Lyle ends up having to push Greyson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Greyson lands an uppercut.
Lyle tries to pull guard but Greyson forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Greyson.
Lyle is breathing heavily.
Greyson is leaning against Lyle and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
I was talking to Lyle's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Greyson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lyle has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Greyson after a bit of a struggle.
Lyle's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Jeez, Robbie Lyle's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
