Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Worf Mogh (ranked 473 p4p, 447 weight class) and Kotaro Asakura (ranked 38 p4p, 37 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mogh might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gimme The Loot. Asakura has chosen Venom by $ B as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kotaro Asakura enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Worf Mogh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kotaro Asakura! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asakura bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Good exchange - Asakura coming out on top. Asakura throws a leg kick that is checked and Mogh counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Asakura keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mogh definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Mogh lands with a punch from half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Asakura keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Asakura tries to roll over but Mogh keeps him under control. Asakura has hold of Mogh's hands but Mogh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Asakura wants to improve his position but Mogh is controlling well.
Mogh is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asakura keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mogh is taking a breather. Asakura says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Asakura controlling the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Asakura can do anything to dispel that myth. Asakura is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mogh throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Asakura is trying to control but can't.
Mogh throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Asakura to regain full guard. Mogh throws a big right hand that misses. Mogh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mogh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mogh throwing strikes but missing. Asakura controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Asakura misses with a right hand letting Mogh counter with a right hand. Asakura lands a head kick!
It looks like Worf Mogh has been cut. A jab lands there for Asakura. Mogh misses with a double jab.
Asakura throws out a counter right but Mogh avoids it with no problem. Mogh defending well as Asakura loads up on a big left hand. Asakura swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mogh counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Kotaro Asakura has been cut. Asakura fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mogh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Asakura shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mogh bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Asakura! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Asakura is rocked! Mogh is in close to Asakura's body, working some short punches and elbows. Asakura is still in real trouble! Can Mogh finish him? Mogh's corner is telling him to maintain position. Asakura working a defensive guard but Mogh manages to pass into side control anyway.
Mogh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Asakura knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mogh takes a little break here. Asakura wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Asakura seems to have recovered his senses. Mogh lands a strong strike to the head of Asakura. That's dazed him! Mogh looking to finish here. Asakura is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mogh lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Worf Mogh! Our winner, Worf Mogh, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
