Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abelardo De Leon (ranked 180 p4p, 431 weight class) and Leandro Leao (ranked 23 p4p, 53 weight class). De Leon comes to the cage accompanied by Mercenary - F.O.O.L. & Power Glove. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leao throws a low kick but De Leon avoids it.
De Leon throws a big counter combination but Leao scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Leao lands a head kick. De Leon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Leao ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

De Leon takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

De Leon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Leon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
De Leon throws a looping overhand right but Leao ducks down to avoid it.
De Leon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

De Leon lunges at Leao with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Leao's hand.
De Leon moves out of range as Leao strikes.
Leao moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Leao just misses with a punch to the body.
Leao on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

The cut above Leandro Leao's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

De Leon is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Leandro Leao's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
