Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Osipov (ranked 513 p4p, 972 weight class) and Roger Sparr (ranked 63 p4p, 121 weight class). Sparr has chosen OH NO! as his entrance music. Fedor Osipov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fedor Osipov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Sparr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparr defending well as Osipov loads up on a big left hand.

Sparr tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Osipov jabs Sparr right on the nose. Sparr blinks but takes it well.

and Sparr counters with a shoot takedown. Osipov fights it but they end up in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sparr connects with a nice short shot to Osipov's temple.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Osipov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Osipov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sparr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sparr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sparr!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Sparr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
