Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between DeShawn West (ranked 2474 p4p, 2112 weight class) and Manolito Tai Kung (ranked 292 p4p, 76 weight class). West's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Can’t Be Touched - Roy Jones Jr. Manolito Tai Kung told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manolito Tai Kung!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tai Kung moves out of range of the strikes.
West punishes Tai Kung's body with a nice straight punch.
Tai Kung ducks down and throws a hook to the body but West moves away.
West throws a looping overhand right but Tai Kung ducks down to avoid it.
Tai Kung lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tai Kung fakes the leg kick and cracks West in the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

West just misses with a punch to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tai Kung. West shrugs it off though.

West swings for the body but Tai Kung moves out of range.
Tai Kung moves away from the strike by West.
Tai Kung connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like DeShawn West has been cut.

and Tai Kung counters with a solid body kick.
West is breathing heavily.

Tai Kung cracks West with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can West get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. West looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

West is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh West is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
West uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tai Kung has time to react.
West seems to have got his legs back now.
West loads up on a big right hand but Tai Kung slips the punch.
Tai Kung moves out of range as West strikes.
West throws a hook to the side of Tai Kung's head but Tai Kung sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tai Kung uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by West.
West scores with a nice right hand.

and Tai Kung counters with a straight right hand.

Tai Kung lands a front kick to the face, that drops West to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!
West gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tai Kung lands a nice looking body kick.
Tai Kung connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of West's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked West - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
