Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lance Thorn!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Soprano looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thorn fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Thorn throws a right and a left that Soprano avoids nicely.
Thorn misses with a few strikes there.
Thorn connects with a body shot that sends Soprano's belly button to the back.
Lance Thorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thorn misses the shot to the body.
Soprano rushes Thorn and presses him up against the cage.
Thorn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Thorn tries to bum rush Soprano with a series of wild strikes but Soprano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Thorn drops Soprano with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Soprano looks back up at him and smiles so Thorn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Paulie Soprano has been cut.
Thorn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thorn throws a big shot that misses.
Soprano changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Thorn digs a good body shot into Soprano's ribs.

Thorn drops Soprano with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Soprano looks back up at him and smiles so Thorn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Thorn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Soprano sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Soprano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thorn's guard.

Soprano is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thorn is aware though and is defending well.

so Soprano counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Soprano looking to sit in guard and control but Thorn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Soprano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thorn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thorn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Soprano had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thorn defends it easily.

Thorn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Soprano looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Thorn passes into side control.
Soprano seems a little lost for a moment, as Thorn dominates the positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soprano tries to buck Thorn off but Thorn is having none of it.
Thorn is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Thorn's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oooooh!!! Thorn has knocked Soprano down with a huge combo! Thorn steps away and waves a wobbly Soprano back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soprano moves to his opponent's back but Thorn bucks him off and ends up in guard. A bit of a disaster there for Soprano.

Thorn is sitting in close to Soprano's body. Soprano has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Thorn is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Thorn is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Soprano.
