Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Happy Hands (ranked 576 p4p, 604 weight class) and James Johnson (ranked 51 p4p, 54 weight class). Hands kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pharoahe Monch- Simon Says. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hands misses with a right hand
and Johnson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hands's knee momentarily.
Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Hands slips the punch.
Hands throws a combination that misses
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Happy Hands has been cut.
Hands uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Johnson.
Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Johnson dodges the punch combination from Hands.
Johnson now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hands looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.

and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Oh Hands is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnson lands with an uppercut that bounces Hands off the cage and back into range.
Hands throws a wild body kick that Johnson sees coming a mile off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson moves out of range of the body kick from Hands.
Hands seems to have got his legs back now.

Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hands throws out the jab.

and Hands counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Johnson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hands throws a shot to the body.
Hands tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hands pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Johnson throws out a counter right but Hands avoids it with no problem.
Hands tries to move into range but Johnson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.

Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing.
Hands walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hands scores with a hook to the body. Johnson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Hands saw that one coming.
Johnson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hands had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Hands throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Hands slips the punch.
Hands bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A combination from Hands does no damage.
A countering left hand to the body from Johnson misses.
Happy Hands seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hands misses with a wild body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Johnson! But no joy.

Hands is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Happy Hands's cut is getting worse.
Hands looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hands. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hands sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hands slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hands looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Johnson unleashes a big counter combination but Hands bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Johnson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Johnson catches Hands with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Johnson lands with a big left! Hands is wobbled badly! Johnson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Hands to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). James Johnson!
A victorious James Johnson thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Happy Hands stepped up to the mic, saying '...(Nothing... he just stares intensely into the cameraman... then throws down the mic.)'.
