Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josue Luna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Aalto!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aalto throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Crunch! Aalto slams his shin into Luna's torso.
Aalto scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Aalto keeps Luna at a distance using the push kick.
Michael Aalto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luna tried to score with a low kick but Aalto checks it.
Luna closes the distance and clinches up with Aalto, looking for a takedown. Luna pushes Aalto against the cage but Aalto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Aalto lands a big right hand that sends Luna crashing to the mat! Aalto stays standing though and waves Luna back to his feet!
Luna is rocked!
Aalto has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aalto ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Luna out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Aalto!
After winning the bout, Michael Aalto thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
