Sutherland has chosen Pressure as his entrance music. Gracie has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Louis Sutherland!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Sutherland as Gracie shoots in.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sutherland defends it nicely.

Sutherland closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sutherland connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple.
Sutherland winds up and cracks Gracie with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sutherland lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Sutherland lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
BOOM! Sutherland connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Sutherland cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sutherland scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sutherland lands a big shot there that rocks Gracie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sutherland tries to control but Gracie wriggling away.
The referee warns Gracie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Oh Gracie is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
