Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Dowling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowling scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Dowling wants to clinch
and Shaw counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Shaw works Dowling's body with a nice hook.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Dowling enables Shaw to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dowling manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Shaw slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dowling is wriggling around trying to escape but Shaw has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Dowling taps out and Shaw picks up the big win! Great work there by Shaw!
