Hansen comes to the cage accompanied by Black Sabbath - Iron Man. Marcus Hansen had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zhandouji Quantou!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen works Quantou's body with a nice hook.

Hansen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Quantou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hansen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hansen distracts Quantou with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hansen passes Quantou's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Quantou is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hansen scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hansen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hansen seems to be working for a kimura but Quantou defends the submission attempt.
Quantou is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Quantou can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hansen scores with a big shot! Quantou's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Quantou! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Hansen!
An out of breath Marcus Hansen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
