Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Rose (ranked 101 p4p, 281 weight class) and Steve McMichael (ranked 17 p4p, 39 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Rose misses with a looping right.
Rose bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rose has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McMichael moves away.

Rose got a little sloppy there for a moment and McMichael has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rose has managed to get both his arms back between McMichael's legs - danger averted.
McMichael is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rose has his hands clasped together but McMichael extends and breaks Rose's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by McMichael.

After winning the bout, Steve McMichael thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
