The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nye displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yaga throws out the jab.
Nye pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Yaga misses with a wild body shot.
Yaga throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nye throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice jab there from Yaga.
Yaga throws a body shot but no joy.
Yaga thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nye fakes the leg kick and cracks Yaga in the body.
Yaga definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

It looked like Yaga wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Nye takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Nye shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yaga's guard.

Nye is still on wobbly legs! Can Yaga finish him?
Nye looks winded!
Yaga lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Nye up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Yaga from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Nye's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Baba Yaga!
Baba Yaga took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
