Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Menes Kai (ranked 1681 p4p, 1808 weight class) and Sebastion Lynar (ranked 167 p4p, 181 weight class). Kai kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Astronaut - Jin. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Despite the aggression on Lynar's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Kai has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ludus Magnus in the buildup to the fight.
Lynar gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lynar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kai sprawls well initially but Lynar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Lynar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lynar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kai bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Kai fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lynar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lynar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
