Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Sanguinetti (ranked 1286 p4p, 1967 weight class) and Kareem Johnson (ranked 168 p4p, 252 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orlando Sanguinetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kareem Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson rushes Sanguinetti and presses him up against the cage.

Sanguinetti is trying to drag Johnson to the mat but Johnson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Johnson cracks Sanguinetti with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Orlando Sanguinetti has been cut.

Sanguinetti jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. Sanguinetti gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sanguinetti is looking to break free of the clinch but Johnson has double underhooks.

Sanguinetti went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Sanguinetti shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sanguinetti lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Johnson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Johnson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

I was talking to Sanguinetti's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
