Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Duarte (ranked 4213 p4p, 4682 weight class) and Jon Lamotta (ranked 416 p4p, 446 weight class). Lamotta is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Islam walkout. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francisco Duarte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Lamotta! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duarte gets caught napping as Lamotta dives in and scores a takedown. Duarte manages to retain guard. Lamotta drops back looking for a leg! Duarte is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duarte manages to kick Lamotta off! Lamotta jumps back into Duarte's guard. Duarte wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lamotta manages to pass to side control. Lamotta wants to take a breather but Duarte is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lamotta is thwarting Duarte's attempts to control the position. Duarte is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lamotta trying to control the action but Duarte is working from the bottom. Duarte is looking for a sweep. Lamotta is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lamotta looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lamotta is looking for a kimura but Duarte is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lamotta to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lamotta performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Duarte is positioning himself well to prevent Lamotta advancing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duarte wants to control but Lamotta is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lamotta wants to take a breather but Duarte is having none of it. Duarte is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lamotta is trying to control the action in half guard but Duarte is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Duarte is trying to stand.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Duarte fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lamotta sprawls well initially but Duarte persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lamotta regains full guard. Nicely done. Lamotta pushes a forearm under Duarte's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Duarte is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
