Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Angus Young (ranked 115 p4p, 321 weight class) and Eja Igwe (ranked 7 p4p, 27 weight class). Eja Igwe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Angus Young!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eja Igwe!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young rushes Igwe and presses him up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Igwe's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Igwe wants to break the clinch but can't.
Igwe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Young takes the fight into the clinch.
Young tries to pull guard but Igwe forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Igwe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Igwe's coach down at Rising Sun Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Igwe's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Young avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Young definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The crowd cheers as Igwe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Young doesn't seem phased though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Young rushes Igwe and presses him up against the cage.
Young is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Young jumps guard but Igwe stands there with Young around his waist. Young gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Young gets control of Igwe's arms and successfully pulls guard. Young will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Young controls Igwe momentarily but Igwe frees himself.

Igwe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Young is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Igwe is sitting in close to Young's body. Young has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Igwe is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Igwe is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Young.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Angus Young!
Angus Young retains his bantamweight title!
