And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kado Akiyama!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama keeps the fight on the outside.
Akiyama bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Akiyama got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beckley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Akiyama has managed to get both his arms back between Beckley's legs - danger averted.
Beckley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Akiyama controls the pace.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Akiyama is looking to advance position but Beckley won't allow it.
Akiyama is taking a breather. Beckley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Akiyama in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

BOOM! Akiyama lands a beautiful left hook that drops Beckley. Beckley tries to recover but Akiyama is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Beckley lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Kado Akiyama thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
