Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Freaky Trevor (ranked 471 p4p, 472 weight class) and Dragon Kingdad (ranked 48 p4p, 49 weight class). Dragon Kingdad has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Freaky Trevor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dragon Kingdad! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trevor connects with a crisp jab. Trevor wants to clinch up but Kingdad keeps it at a distance. Trevor slips under a jab. Kingdad keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Trevor. Trevor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kingdad.
Kingdad throws a head kick that misses. Trevor is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kingdad appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Kingdad misses with a straight left. Kingdad misses the jab. Trevor ducks under a wild hook from Kingdad. Trevor has Kingdad up against the cage in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trevor is looking for a triangle but Kingdad pushes his legs off easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Trevor has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Kingdad is trying to push Trevor away but Trevor has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Trevor blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Trevor fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kingdad checks it well. Trevor closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kingdad is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Trevor blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Dragon Kingdad seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Kingdad using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Trevor has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Trevor trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Trevor has his feet on Kingdad's thighs here. He's pushed Kingdad off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kingdad screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
