Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lars Kay (ranked 984 p4p, 1103 weight class) and Cleon Wright (ranked 76 p4p, 84 weight class). Wright has chosen Come out to play as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cleon Wright has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Cleon Wright !
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright scores with the left hand. Kay knows he should have avoided that one.
Kay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wright throws a body shot but no joy.
Kay connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wright . Wright circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kay steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wright .
Kay changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kay dips to his left and cracks Wright with an uppercut!
Good shot there by Wright .
Kay connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wright just misses with a punch to the body.
Wright has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kay fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kay scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wright in his tracks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wright moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kay throws a lazy right hand but Wright sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wright tries to roll over but Kay keeps him under control.
Wright wants to control but Kay is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kay misses with a head shot. Wright uses the momentum to regain guard.

Wright utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kay throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Wright manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kay manages to get himself to full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A close round but Cleon Wright will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kay takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kay shoots in and drives through. Wright sprawls well.

I was talking to Kay's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wright breaks from the clinch.
Wright takes a swing at Kay's ribcage but misses.
Kay connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kay closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wright to the mat! Wright manages to get full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Wright has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kay finds it's way round the side to connect with Wright 's head.

Wright is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Kay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wright defends it easily.
Wright seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kay has his foot on Wright 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wright works his way back into a safe position though.

Kay has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wright is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kay.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kay tries to bench press Wright off him but Wright keeps the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Cleon Wright is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Wright looks to land a left hand but Kay moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Wright throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wright pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kay takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wright walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kay misses with a body shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kay moves away from the strike by Wright .

and Wright counters with a straight right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kay. Wright does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wright follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

I would just about give that final round to Cleon Wright .
I've got Wright winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
