PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daverio Graves (ranked 672 p4p, 869 weight class) and Marshall Praust (ranked 86 p4p, 110 weight class). Praust has chosen Holidays In The Sun as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graves stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Graves wants it to stay on the feet. Praust tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Graves was well out of range. Poor timing from Praust. Praust staying out of range there. Praust takes one on the button.
It looks like Marshall Praust has been cut. No luck for Praust with that takedown attempt. Graves misses with a hook
and Praust counters with a nice double leg into side control. Graves won't be happy with that. Graves being controlled for a moment. Praust trying to control the position but Graves is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Praust in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Graves is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marshall Praust! After winning the bout, Marshall Praust thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
