Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cyrus Deangelo Queen (ranked 2508 p4p, 2560 weight class) and Malcolm King (ranked 318 p4p, 326 weight class). Queen comes into the arena with Go Hard blaring out of the sound system. King has chosen YoungBoy Never Broke Again – White Teeth as his entrance music. Cyrus Deangelo Queen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Malcolm King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cyrus Deangelo Queen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 24 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm King! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King misses with a body kick. Sloppy strikes from Queen. Those never looked like landing. King scoring well with a low kick there.
Queen walks into a jab. King throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Queen. Queen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging King to the ground. Queen is now in King's guard. Queen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Queen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Queen controls from within his opponent's guard. Queen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down King for as long as he can get away with. Queen goes for an armbar but King turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from King. Queen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Queen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Queen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Queen is working an open guard so King takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cyrus Deangelo Queen will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! King scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Queen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Queen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Queen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from King. King throws a combination that misses and Queen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Queen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by King. King gets caught flat footed, as Queen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Very athletic spring there. King scores with a punch to the head. Queen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Queen wants to stand but King is controlling his arm.

Queen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Queen tries to stand but King is controlling his head. King wants to get back to his feet but Queen drags him back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Queen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A looping hook to the body misses from King. Queen does a little dance to reset his feet. King jabs at Queen's body. Nice defenses there by Queen. King pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. King lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. King stuns Queen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A thudding body kick lands there by King!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. King misses with a low kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from King enables Queen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. King manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. King wants to stand and escape but Queen is having none of it. Queen postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it. That's four minutes gone in the round. Queen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. King throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! King lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Queen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. King manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Queen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. King is looking to stand back up but Queen counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by King. Queen prevents King from standing back up.
Queen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that's the end of the fight! Malcolm King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think King has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
