PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hot Water (ranked 2391 p4p, 2361 weight class) and Grigori Golov (ranked 229 p4p, 226 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Golov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Water manages to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Golov. That snapped Water's head back.

Water is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Golov scores with a nice short uppercut.
Golov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Water pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Water takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Golov has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Water misses with a series of wild punches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Water is rocked!
Golov shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Water takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Golov sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Water bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
