The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Cafiero misses.
Mfer slaps away a takedown attempt from Cafiero, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mfer looks to land a left hand but Cafiero moved out of range nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mfer can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cafiero fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cafiero uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mfer.
Cafiero is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Cafiero swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cafiero dives in for a single leg takedown but Mfer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Cafiero looks to throw the jab but Mfer is out of range.
Mfer moves out of range as Cafiero strikes.
Cafiero uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mfer has time to react.
Mfer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Mfer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mfer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mfer needs to keep his hands up - Cafiero had a free shot at his head there.
