Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stu Pendous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ike Goon!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goon throws a head kick that misses.
Goon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Goon lands a head kick!
Goon listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Goon misses with an uppercut. Pendous saw that one coming.
Goon digs a good hook to Pendous's body.
Goon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pendous.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goon scores with a push kick.
Pendous misses with a straight right.
Goon lands a high kick!
Goon tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pendous connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Goon throws a head kick that Pendous semi-blocks.
Pendous is rocked!
It looks like Stu Pendous has been cut.
Goon thumps Pendous with a low kick.
Goon scores with a spinning back kick!
Pendous loads up on a big right hand but Goon slips the punch.
Goon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pendous has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ike Goon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pendous looks to score with a jab to the body but Goon is just out of range.
Whack! Goon lands a heavy head kick that drops Pendous. The ref tackles Goon to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Pendous was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Ike Goon!
Ike Goon was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
