Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Semi Veainu (ranked 166 p4p, 234 weight class) and Yoshiaki Noda (ranked 13 p4p, 9 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Semi Veainu! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshiaki Noda! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noda throws a head kick but Veainu moves out of range.
Noda drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Yoshiaki Noda has been cut. Noda throws a big shot that misses. Veainu moves out of range of the strikes. It looked like Veainu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Veainu tries to move into range but Noda moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Semi Veainu has been cut. Veainu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Noda manages to avoid it. Noda throws a hook but Veainu blocks it. Yoshiaki Noda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Veainu avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A little feinted left hand from Veainu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Noda lands an overhand right. A jab from Noda misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Noda. Noda looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Noda steps into range and cracks Veainu with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Veainu flops backwards and Noda dives into his guard looking to finish!
Veainu is pulling down on Noda's head to control his posture. Veainu has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Noda doesn't defend quickly enough and Veainu has managed to lock this one up! Can Noda escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Veainu on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Semi Veainu! Semi Veainu retains his super heavyweight title!
