Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kwame Redcliffe (ranked 782 p4p, 633 weight class) and Marski Martola (ranked 83 p4p, 69 weight class). Marski Martola told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 19 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marski Martola!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Redcliffe's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Martola has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Martola shoots in looking for a takedown but Redcliffe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martola's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Martola's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Redcliffe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Martola scrambles back to his feet.

Martola got a little sloppy there for a moment and Redcliffe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martola has managed to get both his arms back between Redcliffe's legs - danger averted.
