Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drax Bautista (ranked 1951 p4p, 437 weight class) and Elwyn Donal (ranked 266 p4p, 59 weight class). Elwyn Donal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Drax Bautista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Elwyn Donal! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bautista throws out a powerful jab. Donal keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bautista. A little jabbing left from Donal on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Donal walks into a left hand. Bautista has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Donal. Donal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bautista.
Donal looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Donal slips under a jab. Donal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bautista. Donal was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Donal drives through and clinches with Bautista against the cage.
Donal pushes Bautista back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A right handed body shot lands from Donal.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Donal. Bautista breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Donal checks a low kick from Bautista. It seemed like Donal was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bautista circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bautista goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Bautista misses with a leg kick and Donal counters with a lovely shot to the body. Donal tries to clinch but Bautista moves out of range. Donal gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bautista swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Donal. Drax Bautista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Bautista throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bautista misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Donal swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. We've been hearing reports that Bautista has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Bautista is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Donal. Donal throws out a counter right but Bautista avoids it with no problem. Bautista looks to throw the jab but Donal is out of range. Donal tries a quick counter leg kick but Bautista is wise to it. Donal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Donal lands with a short head shot on the inside. Bautista takes a shot to the head. Donal has Bautista pressed against the cage, preventing Bautista from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Nice body punch from Donal. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Donal. Bautista is breathing heavily. Donal lands a shoulder strike. Donal lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bautista backwards. Bautista wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Donal has him pressed against the cage. Bautista is trying to break the clinch but Donal has him pressed against the cage. Bautista swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Donal lands a hook to the side of the head. Donal lands with a light punch inside. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Donal lands an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice left hand lands by Donal.
Bautista is rocked! Donal blocks a body shot from Bautista. Bautista misses with a punch to the body.
Donal lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Oh Bautista is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Donal presses Bautista against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Bautista takes a shot to the head. Donal unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Bautista! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Donal is unloading with more strikes now! Bautista drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elwyn Donal! In his post fight interview, Elwyn Donal started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
