Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ishmael Egyptian (ranked 811 p4p, 871 weight class) and Eduardo Corassa (ranked 61 p4p, 67 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Ishmael Egyptian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 48 - 26 - 2, fighting out of New York, Eduardo Corassa! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Sloppy strikes from Egyptian. Those never looked like landing. Egyptian misses with an uppercut. It seemed like Corassa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Corassa has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Ishmael Egyptian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corassa slips under a jab from Egyptian. A lazy left from Egyptian finds it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Egyptian shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Corassa defends it nicely. Corassa looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Egyptian throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little jabbing left from Corassa on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Egyptian rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Corassa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Egyptian fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. It seemed like Corassa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Egyptian has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Egyptian throws a series of punches but Corassa moves out of range. Corassa is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Egyptian with a body shot. Egyptian connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Egyptian tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Corassa was well out of range. Poor timing from Egyptian. Eduardo Corassa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Egyptian connects with a crisp jab. Corassa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Egyptian.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Egyptian scores with a hook. Egyptian tries for a takedown but Corassa circles away easily and Corassa counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ishmael Egyptian. That's going to take a lot out of him. Egyptian's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Egyptian duly obliges. Corassa ducks under a wild hook from Egyptian.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Egyptian misses with a combination
and Corassa counters with a left to the body. Corassa ducks right into an uppercut from Egyptian. Egyptian waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Corassa. Corassa doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Egyptian throws a poor cross that misses
and Corassa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ishmael Egyptian dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Egyptian misses with a lunging right hand
and Corassa counters with a straight right hand. Egyptian throws an overhand right that lands on Corassa's shoulder, as Corassa tries to avoid the shot. Corassa is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Egyptian with a body shot. A slow jab from Egyptian misses its intended target. Egyptian misses with a few strikes there.

letting Corassa counter with a right hand. Egyptian misses with a takedown and Corassa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Egyptian misses with a shot to the body letting Corassa counter with a right hand. Corassa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Egyptian takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Egyptian lands with a straight right. Corassa didn't see that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Egyptian throws a shot from downtown. Corassa moves away and avoids it. Egyptian is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A momentary lapse in concentration from Corassa enables Egyptian to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Corassa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Corassa uses the cage to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Corassa takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Egyptian feints a jab promting Corassa to slip. Egyptian then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Corassa slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Corassa gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Egyptian. Egyptian throws an off balance right hand
enabling Corassa to counter with a crisp jab. Egyptian tries to bum rush Corassa with a series of wild strikes but Corassa uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Corassa appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corassa blocks a jab. It seemed like Corassa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Egyptian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Corassa let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Egyptian stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Corassa's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Egyptian connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Corassa scrambles back to his feet. Egyptian swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Corassa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ishmael Egyptian dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Corassa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It seemed like Corassa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Corassa lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Egyptian backwards. Corassa misses with a short punch on the inside. Egyptian is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ishmael Egyptian. That's going to take a lot out of him. Corassa works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Egyptian lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Corassa gets through Egyptian's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Corassa scores with a shoulder strike. Corassa blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Corassa lands on the inside with an uppercut. Corassa lands a nice shot to the body. Corassa gets through Egyptian's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Corassa misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Corassa presses Egyptian against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Corassa lands a right hand that snaps the head of Egyptian backwards.
Egyptian is rocked! Corassa struggles to land a body shot inside as Egyptian controls his hands.
Oh Egyptian is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Egyptian prevents a body shot from Corassa. Egyptian seems to have got his legs back now. Corassa digs a right hand into Egyptian's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Egyptian's gas tank. Corassa lands a body shot in the clinch.
Corassa lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Egyptian. Ishmael Egyptian is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Corassa working some nice short punches in the clinch. Corassa swings wildly with an uppercut but Egyptian uses good head movement to avoid it. Corassa tries to throw a body punch but Egyptian avoids it by throwing Corassa back against the cage. Corassa tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A right hand to the body from Corassa.
