Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yaden Dhargey (ranked 2794 p4p, 3349 weight class) and Azriel Pandens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dhargey comes to the cage accompanied by Gyallu - Anthem of Tibet. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Azriel Pandens enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yaden Dhargey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 37 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Azriel Pandens! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Pandens misses its intended target. Dhargey keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dhargey drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pandens sprawls and moves away. Pandens swings for the body but Dhargey moves out of range.
Dhargey has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight. Dhargey clobbers Pandens with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Pandens throws a right hand that misses
so Dhargey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dhargey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Pandens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dhargey is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dhargey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pandens wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dhargey connects with a couple of short punches. Dhargey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pandens is trying to keep Dhargey in close.
Dhargey landing with the ground and pound. Dhargey stopping the sweep attempt from Pandens. Pandens is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dhargey defends well. Pandens controls Dhargey momentarily but Dhargey frees himself. Dhargey is working Pandens over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dhargey trying to control but Pandens is working from the bottom. Pandens looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dhargey trying to control the position from guard on top but Pandens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pandens wants to control but Dhargey passes easily into half guard.
Dhargey is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pandens is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dhargey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pandens does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pandens works his way to full guard. Good work. Dhargey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Pandens looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pandens manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dhargey manages to get himself to full guard.
Pandens trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pandens pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dhargey is keeping the position for now. Dhargey is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Pandens frees his head nicely. Oh but Dhargey has switched to an armbar! Pandens is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
