The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira dodges the punch combination from Soares.
Soares lands with a right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Soares. Those never looked like landing.
Vieira is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Vieira misses with a double jab
and Soares counters with a left to the body.
A punch combination from Soares misses.
Vieira tries a quick counter leg kick but Soares is wise to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soares lands an overhand right.
Vieira blocks a jab.
