Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pultti Pyssy (ranked 960 p4p, 971 weight class) and Joshua Miller (ranked 107 p4p, 109 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pultti Pyssy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Miller! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller scores with the left hand. Pyssy knows he should have avoided that one. Pyssy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Pyssy throws an overhand right that lands on Miller's shoulder, as Miller tries to avoid the shot. Pyssy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily. Miller misses with an uppercut. Miller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pyssy. Miller looks like he wants to counter punch here. Miller looks to land a combination but Pyssy avoids it well. Pyssy swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Pyssy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Miller's head. Pyssy takes a swing at Miller's ribcage but misses. Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pyssy moves away. Pyssy avoids the body shot from Miller.
A quick step to the side and Pyssy tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Miller with a nice cross. Miller looks to throw the jab but Pyssy is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Pyssy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miller sees it coming and avoids it easily. A little jabbing left from Miller on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Miller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pyssy.
Miller gets tackled into the cage by Pyssy. Pyssy maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pyssy stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Miller tries to work over Pyssy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A shot in the inside from Pyssy. Miller misses with the head strike.
Miller throws a punch but it's blocked by Pyssy. Pyssy scores with a shot to the side of Miller's head. A shot in the inside from Miller. Miller misses with a hook to the ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Miller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pyssy was well out of range. Poor timing from Miller. Joshua Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller looks to score with a jab to the body but Pyssy is just out of range. Miller throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Miller cracks Pyssy with a good jab. Miller throws a hook but Pyssy blocks it. Pyssy looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Pyssy lands with a good body shot. Pyssy throws a body punch but Miller moves out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Pyssy. Miller does a little dance to reset his feet. Miller throws out a counter right but Pyssy avoids it with no problem. Miller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Miller throws a combination that misses and Pyssy counters with a good low kick that Miller was not able to check. Miller has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Miller there as he acknowledges the shot. Miller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Miller uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Pyssy throws a body shot but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pyssy defending well as Miller loads up on a big left hand. An attempted straight right counter from Pyssy misses the target. Pyssy gets a clinch. Miller misses with some punches.
Miller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miller throws a nice looking combination but Pyssy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Miller throws a series of punches but Pyssy moves out of range. Pyssy defending well as Miller loads up on a big left hand. Miller getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Joshua Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pyssy swings away with a body shot that misses
and Miller counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Miller throws out a loose jab but Pyssy uses good head movement to avoid it. A punch combination from Miller misses. Pyssy tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pyssy displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Miller stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miller shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pyssy eats them both and turns towards Miller to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Pyssy misses with a wild body shot. A little jabbing left from Miller on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Pyssy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miller throws out the jab. Pyssy moves away from the strike by Miller. Pyssy is looking to counter with a shot to the body. A decent looking cross lands there for Miller. Miller takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Miller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pyssy.
Pyssy throws a jab when Miller was well out of range. Miller throws a hook but Pyssy avoids it easily. Pyssy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Miller misses the shot to the body. Miller lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Miller lands with a shot to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Joshua Miller dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Miller misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pyssy tries to work over Miller's front leg with a kick but Miller checks it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Miller! But no joy. Pyssy blocks a jab. Pyssy feints a jab promting Miller to slip. Pyssy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Miller slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Miller ducks under a wild hook from Pyssy. Miller now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pyssy moves away. Pyssy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Miller swings for the body but Pyssy moves out of range.
Pyssy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Pyssy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Miller's head. Pyssy is looking for a kimura but Miller is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pyssy to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pyssy tries to pass to full mount but Miller defends it. Pyssy wants to control but Miller is keeping him busy. Pyssy is figuring out what he wants to do next. Pyssy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Miller has managed to free his arm - good work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pyssy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miller is just riding it out for now. Pyssy eventually gives up the hold. Pyssy not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pyssy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Miller keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pyssy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pyssy prevents Miller from improving his position. Pyssy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Miller does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pyssy is working for a kimura but Miller is defending it quite comfortably.
Pyssy is looking for a kimura but Miller is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pyssy to get the leverage. Pyssy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pyssy throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Miller to regain full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Pultti Pyssy will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Pyssy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miller.

Miller misses with a wild body shot. A shot to the liver by Miller. Beautiful body shot. Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pyssy manages to avoid it. Pyssy misses with a wild body shot. Miller thows a left - swing and a miss! Pyssy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Miller has time to react. Pyssy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Miller swings for the body but Pyssy moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller misses with a wild body shot. Miller slips under a jab. Pyssy takes a body punch but keeps moving. This has been an exciting period of action! Pyssy dives in and grabs Miller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes down on Pyssy's head and hops out. Miller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Miller shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Miller scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A jab from Pyssy misses. Miller drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Miller misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Pyssy counters with a left to the body. Pyssy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Miller thuds his right hand into Pyssy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Pyssy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Pyssy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Miller connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pyssy scrambles back to his feet. Nice cross by Pyssy. Pyssy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Miller. Pyssy lands an overhand right. Miller thuds a left hand into Pyssy's body. Pyssy slips a straight right by Miller. Pyssy lands a nice shot to the body.
Pyssy throws a sloppy head kick and Miller counters with a stiff right hand. Pyssy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Nice body punch from Pyssy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pyssy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pyssy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Miller. A little jabbing left from Miller on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Miller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pyssy was well out of range. Poor timing from Miller. Miller jabbing away but nothing is landing. Pyssy looks to land a left hand but Miller moved out of range nicely. Miller throws a lazy right hand but Pyssy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Miller tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Miller uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Pyssy shoots and misses and Miller counters with a left to the body. Jab from Miller. Pyssy fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pultti Pyssy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller misses with a shot to the body and Pyssy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pyssy throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Left hook, right uppercut from Miller.
And that's the end of the fight! Joshua Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Miller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
