Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Hardman (ranked 933 p4p, 744 weight class) and Kevin Schnitzer (ranked 107 p4p, 80 weight class). Kevin Schnitzer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Hardman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Schnitzer!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schnitzer throws the left hand but Hardman avoids the punch easily.
Schnitzer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Schnitzer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hardman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Schnitzer.
Schnitzer closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Bruce Hardman has been cut.
Nice uppercut lands for Schnitzer. That snapped Hardman's head back.
Schnitzer lands a nice shot that snaps Hardman's head back.
Hardman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Schnitzer.
Hardman wants to clinch.

Schnitzer scores with a jab to the jaw.
Hardman takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Schnitzer throws the left hand but Hardman avoids the punch easily.
Kevin Schnitzer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hardman wants to pass the guard but Schnitzer is keeping the position.

Hardman has gone for a leg lock! Schnitzer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hardman's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Schnitzer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hardman pulls Schnitzer in close to prevent any damage.

Hardman is really struggling to control Schnitzer but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Schnitzer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hardman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schnitzer controls the pace.

Hardman looking for a guillotine here but Schnitzer defends easily.
Schnitzer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hardman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Schnitzer is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A cross from Hardman lands.
Schnitzer moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hardman gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Schnitzer.
Hardman misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Schnitzer counters with a good low kick that Hardman was not able to check.
Hardman ducks under a wild hook from Schnitzer.
Schnitzer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Schnitzer throws out a powerful jab.
Good exchange - Schnitzer coming out on top.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hardman closes the distance and clinches up with Schnitzer, looking for a takedown. Hardman pushes Schnitzer against the cage but Schnitzer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hardman drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Hardman slips a straight right by Schnitzer.
Hardman appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Schnitzer might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Schnitzer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hardman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hardman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hardman goes for a double leg but Schnitzer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Schnitzer continues to drive forward.

Bruce Hardman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Schnitzer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hardman momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hardman walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Schnitzer is staying active underneath Hardman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hardman seems to be working for a kimura but Schnitzer defends the submission attempt.
Well, if Hardman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hardman is keen to just control but Schnitzer is a slippery customer.
Schnitzer wants to improve his position but Hardman is controlling well.
Still in half guard, Hardman seems content to control.

Hardman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Schnitzer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hardman.

Hardman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hardman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Schnitzer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Schnitzer is looking for a sweep. Hardman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hardman seems to be looking for submissions.
Schnitzer is trying to maintain the position but Hardman is very close to passing his half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Schnitzer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardman sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Schnitzer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hardman.

Hardman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Schnitzer throws an overhand right that lands on Hardman's shoulder, as Hardman tries to avoid the shot.
Schnitzer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Schnitzer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hardman manages to avoid it.
Hardman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Schnitzer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hardman looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Hardman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hardman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kevin Schnitzer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Hardman fails to land with a series of punches.
A nice leg kick lands there from Schnitzer.
Hardman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schnitzer pinned against the cage. Schnitzer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Schnitzer tries a head kick but it misses.
Schnitzer clobbers Hardman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Hardman needs to keep his hands up - Schnitzer had a free shot at his head there.

Hardman takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hardman moves out of range as Schnitzer strikes.
Hardman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Schnitzer sprawls and moves away.
Schnitzer feints and then cracks Hardman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hardman down.

Kevin Schnitzer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Schnitzer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Kevin Schnitzer rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
