Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aleksandr Zuev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Nolan!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, John Mangel and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zuev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nolan circles away quickly and effectively.
Nolan moves in looking to clinch but Zuev pushes him off.
Zuev feints a jab promting Nolan to slip. Zuev then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nolan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Jason Nolan has been cut.
Zuev scores with a decent looking hook.
Nolan gets a double leg takedown into Zuev's guard.
Zuev pushes Nolan off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nolan takes one to the side of the head.
Nolan is rocked!
Zuev weaves into range and cracks Nolan right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Nolan goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Zuev is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aleksandr Zuev!
Aleksandr Zuev bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
