Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Nik (ranked 215 p4p, 516 weight class) and Kulma Rauta (ranked 34 p4p, 78 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nik might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ноггано - стволок за поясок. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aleks Nik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kulma Rauta!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Nik has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nik. Rauta does a little dance to reset his feet.

Nik lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rauta throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nik sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Nik's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rauta connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nik scrambles back to his feet.

and Rauta counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
