Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haruki Johnson (ranked 48 p4p, 917 weight class) and Kevin Durant (ranked 11 p4p, 120 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Haruki Johnson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Durant!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durant with a hook.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Durant manages to avoid it.
A nice side step and Durant releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Johnson slips under a jab from Durant.
Durant lands a nice hook to Johnson's body. Johnson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Johnson checks a leg kick nicely.
Johnson feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Durant throws a lazy right hand but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Durant swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Johnson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Durant really felt that one!
Durant connects with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson scores with a nice head shot.
Durant lands a front kick.
Durant throws a predictable looking body shot
and Johnson counters with a thumping low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A lazy body kick from Durant
and Johnson counters with a body kick that stops Durant in his tracks momentarily.
A swing and a miss from Johnson.
A little jabbing left from Durant on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Durant throws a sloppy body shot
and Johnson counters with a hugh head kick that removes Durant from consiousness! A brutal head kick knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Haruki Johnson!
